Tom Todd, leading a band of about 42 men, was active in four actions in NE Missouri during September 1864 (according to multiple sources). Since I could find nothing on Tom Todd subsequent to his reported participation in the Centralia actions of 27 September 1864, I wonder if this is what happened to him.
Several of the other irregular bands of NE and NW Missouri also joined the regular Confederate forces passing near this area at this time. Of course, this is only conjecture, since I found nothing on Tom Todd after September 1864.
