I am finding he(Lewis, G. W.) enlisted as a PVT June 17/61 in CO. D 2nd MO Vol. Inf MSG, then Discharged June 21/61, then enlisted June 21/61 as Sergeant Major of 2nd MO Vol. Inf. MSG. Discharged Sept 10/61, Enlisted Feb 21/62 Cane Hill AR. CO B 6th MO, appointed 1st Corporal March 2 1862, App. Ord. Sergt. June (4)12 1862, battles only go until Corinth, However shows as captured at Vicksburg. Shows on parole card July 28 as acting Ordn. Officer. French's?( looks like Friss ???) Brigade

??? Could it be he went to Regimental rolls and or brigade rolls? curious to find out if he was engaged at 2nd Corinth. Also curious to find out or complete the rest of his records.

There is also a Lewis George shows Enlisted Oct. 7/ 61/ Conway county AR., shows captured and exchanged previously in ----Reg. assigned to this company (Co H, 3rd MO Vol Cav.) Aug 1 1863, battles shown, Corinth, Bakers Creek, Big Black, Peace Tree Creek where wounded, now in Hosp. March 1 1865. ??????? I do not know if this could account for him or what i think might be a different person.
