Thompson, Private, Company C, 24th Missouri Infantry, joined for duty and enrolled for 3 years, February 1, 1862 at Lebanon, Mo.,** mustered in March 30, 1862 at Rolla, Mo., recorded June 1862 as On Duty Cook, discharged January 12, 1863 at Van Buren, Mo. on Surgeon’s Certificate of Disability, Subject soldier is subject to fits, having as many as four or five in the course of 24 hours & is also Subject to mental derangement at times, Elilipisa & partial mental derangement, 22 year old Farmer, 5’ 6”, fair complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, Patterson, Mo., December 3, 1862

** Company C at the time was at Rolla, Mo. remaining there through June, 1862
