Most of the cavalry, including the Missourians were down in saw Ark, near Washington, AR where old Pap Price had set up headquarters, also where Ark CS capital had moved to after fall of Little Rock in Sept. cavalry ranged all the way to Monticello, rock port, Arkadelphia, Princeton, Tulip etc. acting as pickets, outposts and scouting.
