And this is where I step in:

This William Burris, I believe, was my 3G grandfather. His family moved to Missouri from Tennessee and appears on the 1860 census in Upton, Texas Co., MO. They lived at Hickory Hill during the Civil War.

His eldest daughter, Mary Ross Burris, married ... Louis Pinkney Crabtree. Born sometime in 1835 in TN, lived in KY on the 1850 census. Died September 21, 1862.
