I have a dilemma here and I have exhausted everything i can think of to find what I need. I know this is a Missouri message board, but the Kansas board seems dead.

I have a man I am researching that enlisted into Co. E, 14th Kansas Cavalry in July 1863 at Lawrence, Kansas. He mustered in on, coincidentally, August 21, 1863. He mustered out in 1865 in Lawrence also. What I am trying to find is...was Company E in on the help at Lawrence after the raid? It seems, by these records, that Co. E was in, at or by Lawrence. I know they didnt stay there for the war's duration, but I wondered if they had much to do with the aftermath of the raid. Again, I am just looking at Co. E.
Maybe they wouldve taken command of Co. M's bodies??
