As stated, in 2012 the Methodist Church attempted to locate and mark the graves of Missouri preachers killed by Union troops. Written in 1870, Martyrdom in Missouri is a two-volume set that shares more of these events. (Free at google books) I hope that one day the Baptist Church would do the same. Many ministers left Missouri after being ordered to stop preaching. Those who refused suffered.
