Both David and Jesse Green Morton served in the same Confederate unit and both were captured at Westport and sent to prison. In 1913 they each applied for a Missouri Confederate pension. Their pension applications contain information about their service. Also, both are buried in Dent County, MO. David is buried in Miner Cemetery near Salem. They are both listed on Find-A-Grave.
