Here is a portion of the note transferring him while in custody.

“He is a desperate man and will require vigilant watching, he is charged with mutiny ???cing a guard and releasing deserters etc."

In arrest at Sedalia, subsequently at St. Louis Dec. 12, 1864
Dismissed from service to take effect Feb. 7, 1865 by sentence of G. C. M. G. O. No. 34, Hd. Qrs. Dept. Mo.
