Phil: I think it would almost have to be the same outfit, although I cannot find anything to prove that Gorham was given another battery after being relieved by Hindman in November, 1862. In fact it would seem strange indeed for him to be given another command so soon after being deprived of command of the 3rd Fld Btry, but stranger things happened in the T-M department.
