Happy to help and it does not surprise me that more folks do not know about this source for Illinois letters.

Again, this is an old fashioned card catalog and it is broken down to infantry (starting with the 7th Illinois), cavalry and artillery units plus some miscellaneous.

In my work on the 83rd Illinois letters the list had about 60 or so listed but I have found at least a dozen beyond that so the listing might not be complete. Just a head's up.

Also - this listing does not include officer reports, some of which MAY be in the Official Records and some not.
