Lewisburg, Arkansas is on the Arkansas River near the modern day city of Morrilton, Arkansas, it was the site of some small skirmishes in early December 1864. He was sent to a Federal POW camp located at Point Lookout, Maryland just south of where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay. Paroles and exchanges were pretty well stopped by this time in the war, so he was probably exchanged at or near the war's end.
