Re: Need advice re: ordering pension file

Oooops, On second look, the document you reference is his pension file in which he filed for Invalid class pension July 17, 1890 from Missouri, Application No 817,386, receiving by Certificate No, 680, 823.

Richard Courtright (alias) Edward Carlton, Company K, 32nd Ohio Infantry

Elizabeth A. Carlton filed for a Widow’s class pension August 16, 1890, from Kansas, Application No. 460,824.

A contested Widow’s class pension was filed by Ada J. Carlton December 26, 1929 from Missouri, Application No. 1,656,991

It appears neither Widow’s pension was granted.

There is a notation XC 2,628,717 which could be the Certificate no. associated with Ida’s application

There are two pension documents on file, one for Richard Courtright, alisa Ed. Carlton, and one for Edward Carlton, alias Rich. Courtright. Both provide the same numbers and indicate he died December 9, 1929 at Patterson, Mo.

You should also request the last numbered document XC 2,628,717
