William B Westerman and his in-laws eventually did enlist in the Missouri Militia from Douglas/Ozark county and all were in the second Battle of Springfield. They had returned home to Douglas County during the civil war. I have always wondered if Wm and Louisa Westerman left Iron/Reynolds county and joined the Dobbs family because of the terror of cousin Samuel Trollinger. A great great grandson of Wm B Westerman I would love to read a copy of the letter he wrote his mother.
