I know that both the St. Louis Public Library (the city) and the St. Louis County Library in several of their branches carry the Volume I book about 1862 and the Volume II book about 1863. I am told that both the city and county library branches will transfer available volumes to a branch closer to an interested library patron.
I also know that the Jefferson Building or St. Louis History Museum of Forest Park in their gift shop for the past several months carried a variety of the recent Missouri Civil War histories for sale, including both the 1862 and 1863 volumes of this series, while their special display for the 150th anniversary of the war in Missouri was available in the museum. I don't offhand know if this continues, nor am I aware that any other book shop in the St. Louis area currently carries these books on hand for sale.

I also recommend Amazon.com, if pressed, but other online sources are good, too.

I just received word tonight that McFarland and Company is releasing to me online the proofs for both Volume III, January through August 1864, and Volume IV, September 1864 through June 1865. I have to work hard over the next several days to proofread these final two volumes of the series and compose detailed, useful indices for both books. If all goes well, Volumes III and IV should reach the market for purchase later this year.
