Lt. Lingo or Lingow of artillery battery?

Does anyone have any idea who this person was and who he served with? According to the History of Greene County 1883, pg. 450 he was captured the morning after the 2nd Battle of Springfield. This is supposedly quoting Col. Sheppard of the 72nd EMM. I had wondered if he might be a subordinate to Collins in that battery, the only CSA unit acting as such at Springfield.

A fellow captured with him at Springfield, Bill Frazier, shows up in the "13th Battery Missouri Light Artillery" according to the Missouri SOS database. This particular battery (13th) later appears in conjunction with Young's (formerly MacDonald's) cavalry outfit.
