In Response To: North Missouri event 1864 ()

In the fall of 1864 the Putnam County Militia was called down into the region just north of the Missouri to clean up the sessionists in the area. After the courthouse in Keytesville was burned the PTM took the lives of several area southern civilians in Chariton & Randolph counties. That's why you will never see anything in the "union records" . The CS hanged in Macon was Andrew Snider, 1st Northeast Missouri Cav., May 13th, 1864..........then James Hamilton, Partisan Ranger, March 3rd, 1865.......
