William Gaugh at Marcella steamboat raid?

I have copied the Missouri Provost Marshal papers from microfilm and found something kind of interesting. It appears that maybe William Gaugh might have been in on this too. With the seven names mentioned in the official report (James Warren, Thomas Warren, Dave Poole, Henry Hockensmith, Shelby Curtly, Gatewood (which I am betting is Phil Gatewood) and Henning, there is another name at the end. It appears to be Wm. goul.

The "Wm." is quite clear. The "g" is lower case and kinda wonky looking, but definitely appears to be a "g." What other guerrilla could have anything close to the name "Wm. goul."

Unless there might have been a Gould or Gold that has never been recorded. Just thought it was interesting. I could be pulling straws though.
