My wife's family has oral history of an ancestor at Vicksburg who ate part of a shoe. (I wonder if it was the tongue, or perhaps the sole?)

After I wrote that, I actually thought "Someone has to come back at me for this one." That's the first time anybody asked me what guerrillas ate. I'm honored that it was Rose that asked me, though.
