Re: Father Abram Ryan, Poet Priest of the Confeder

Rob,

Thank you for your information about a marker to Father Ryan in Norfolk, VA. It seems that the "Poet Priest of the Confederacy" has been honored everywhere, except in the city of Cape Girardeau, where he apparently was on staff at St. Vincents Seminary here soon after/during his training for the priesthood at St. Mary's Seminary in Perryville, Mo.

We have a historic Catholic Church here, "OLD" ST. VINCENTS, which they have restored to some extent and turned into a sort of community building where Mass is sometimes held, but there is no marker to Father Ryan.
