I'm researching a relative of mine, Thomas Hughes, who lived outside of Gallatin. He was in the 30th Regiment Militia of which I can't find any history anywhere. Most web sites have information about the 30th Regimental Infantry but not the Militia. Can someone key me in on what the differences were?
