John E. Highley

I am re-examining the Highley killing of April 6, 1864 at Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. Kirby Ross' book on Hildebrand mentions (pg. 216 note 3) two newspaper accounts that I would like to see before I have to order the papers on film, if anyone has them. One is of the St. Louis Daily Union June 25, 1863 that mentions Bob "Hyley" who was John's son, also injured in the Milks Raid that resulted in the killing of John and Sept. 23, 1864 re: retaliation by Hildebrand for the Highley killing. Many thanks.
