I found some very good OR's about the Lawerence Kan raid from Col Lazer 1st MSM, Col Clark 9th Kan USV, Gen Ewing , Gen Schofield and Gov Carney of Kan. There availlable free online along with othe CW battles at civilwar/battles.com. I didn't know that Gov Carney wanted to send in a large force of Kansans to avenge the raid but Gen.Schofield said no in order to prevent endles retaliation.
