I have been away from the sites for a time due to health reasons and am only now catching up to old messages posted on the board.

With regards to the 6th Missouri State Militia Cavalry I have compiled a complete roster, by company, of the entire regiment. In company M of that regiment is listed 119 names with only one name, Youngman, the only name with a last name beginning with a 'Y'. I also should add that Company M was Charles B. McAfee's company which had been formerly company E of the 3rd MSM (Old) prior to Febraury 1863 when four companies were absorbed into the sixth MSM. Most of the men of this company were captured and paroled at Carthage Mo., Oct. 4, 1863 by Jo Shelby during the first stage of his famous raid into Missouri.
