Re: Danville to Glasgow 100 miles
I've always been a cemetery hound, I make no claim on dates times and such.........I've read accounts of comings and goings of Bill( all written after the war) I can't help but think part of the demonizing myth yankees used after the war to cover there own atrocities thru out the war lead to blaming as many acts on Quantrills men as possible. On what date did Price at Boonville send Anderson to burn the Missouri River bridge at St. Charles? That is correct, isn't it. Hell, I don't know, they could have done it all, but would have had to have had remounts from somewhere........3 years of war and good solid horse flesh in Missouri was still easy to find??????
