The messenger on Ancestry evidently misread the entry on his 1878 plat map giving the property name as "Hummert" which should be property owner A. Hummel. I wonder if there is anyone else that can confirm that Union trops, i.e. Merrill's Horse, camped on the Hummel property outside Truesdale, also known as "Camp Annie." So far searching Warren county history I can find nothing that speaks to this question.
