The University of Tennessee Press will be publishing a multi-volume set titled CONFEDERATE GENERALS IN THE WEST. These books will consist of chapters written by various Civil War scholars. My chapter about Daniel W. Adams is scheduled to appear in volume two, but the publication date has not been set yet. Adams commanded the Louisiana brigade of the Army of Tennessee until his capture at the battle of Chickamauga. Following his exchange he commanded an important district in Alabama.
