I politely but vehemently disagree about your assertions of the civilwarstlouis site. Your disparaging comment leads me to believe you have little factual knowledge of the civil war in Missouri nor have spent much time in primary source documentation.

The Battle of Chancellorsville was fought from April 30 to May 6, 1863, in Spotsylvania County, Virginia about as far away from Missouri as you can get. Yes, Missouri units were involved, if you could identify what unit your ancestor was in we may be able to help. A name would be nice as well.
