The Swope Park area was called "The battle of Byrum's Ford" which of course was part of the overall Battle of Westport. The Big Blue Battlefield your thinking of may be in Eastern Independence. Forgive me if I am confusing things if I am incorrect. I live in KC so I will have to find out for certain.
