My memory did fail. Reeves report was from July 1863. Reeves was following a Union Patrol led by Woodson and Reeves estimated about 250 men. Woodson and patrol did go down Buffalo Creek though. To read Reeves report check series 1 - Vol 22 - Part 2 - page 940
