My family has recenttly come into posession of a family tree done by a member of the family back in the 1960's
after perusing it I discovered tha one of my ancestors was a one John Parkinson of the 3rd Missouri Calvary company I, who died on Febuary 4th, 1862 at Palmyra Mo. It seems to me that there was a battle between calvary units as well as infantry units. during that time if anyone could please give me a place to look for more information I would be grateful. thank ya'll
