Pardon me if I reply to my own query. John Russell clued me in on Lafayette "Pete" Roberts' activities during the war after his MSG time in 1861. John cited Jim McGhee's new book that Lafayette was C Company commander of Thomas R. Livingston's Cherokee Spikes guerrilla band of SW MO in 1862 through 1863. That helps me a lot.
Does anyone know if Lafayette survived the war? John informed me that that the Roberts family moved to Fannin County, Texas after the war, but no Lafayette is listed with them.
