No he did not in the OR report nor in his testimony re: Major Wolf. I am not sure why Campbell gave testimony whilst Maj. Wolf was in prison but theorize Campbell may have read about the Major in the St. Louis newspapers perhaps knowing him (or his reputation) from Arkansas. I did not discover the OR entry til after my book on Maj. Wolf so did not look for other mentions of Campbell at the time. In his testimony, Campbell related he was then a sutler in the 112th U. S. Colored Infantry.
