Contraband Soldiers - USCT in Missour

Hey Ya'll, I've been talking to some frineds of mine about the various historical events we participate in each year. One of the things that we both recognize as sorely missing is the presence of US Colored Troops. Over 180,000 contraband soliders fought for their freedom in the late great unpleasantness. A whole lot of 'em had to've come from Missouri. I'd guess quite a few of 'em actually served in Missouri, but you sure don't hear about that much. Has anybody wrote a book about Contraband Soldiers in Missouri during the American Civil War? Does anybody have any pointers to definitive resourses regarding the service of these fine American servicemen? Does anybody know anybody down there at Lincoln University that's invovled in the historical department?
