Bruce: I am a little surprised that he would be in the Kentucky book, although he was born there, since he lived most of his life in Missouri, and earned his reputation leading Missouri troops. Of course, John G. Walker and James P. Major commanded primarily Texas outfits but were native Missourians. I guess it all balances out. Does the Kentucky book deal only with the civil war?
