Actually we do a lot of genealogy on the board, we just ry to make sure that we keep it close to the CW and MO. I try to open doors and direction for research when somebody gets stuck. As I've said before I'm a people person and have a knack and way of finding individuals. I don't do real well on Unit histories etc.

I've not been able to provence the marriage in Stewart County though there are several books availbale that may list it. There is a R Mary Self listed in Stewart County TN in 1850 as being 12 yrs old, dau to Henry Self. So that fits reasonalbly well. I think that if James H did participate in the Civil War he would likely have been in an Illinois Unit or a Ky or TN unit given what we know about his travels. I'm still digging for a 1860 census listing.
