Gosh, John, we have lots to talk about in genealogy, perhaps only a little re Civil War-my mother's GF was in 28th AL, and his 3 older bros in other inf units of GA and AL. The Civil War Message Board probably not correct forum to discuss Genealogy data tho, so my e-mail is Jaxon01@dishmail.net. I have some Woods ancestors in RW and War of 1812-but haven't found absolute proof yet, but gettting close I think by early census and RW records.

Edgar Woods (all WW1 plus 6 months and Russian Revolution of 1919-1922) and our mother Ruth Stone Woods had 7 children--their 4 sons, including me) could hardly wait to get in Navy WW2,Korea,and beyond. Our father Edgar was on his second enlistment when he served on destroyer FOX as landing force seaman in Black Sea. bob in OK
