Re: Cross Hollow
In Response To: Cross Hollow ()

Cross Hollow (or Hollows) was a Confederate camp site south of Little Sugar Creek. There was a skirmish there in Feb. 1862 before the battle of Pea Ridge.
There also was Cross Timber Hollows just north of Elkhorn Tavern where part of the Battle of Pea Ridge occurred.
A good source with good maps is William L. Shea, "War in the West, Pea Ridge and Prairie Grove" (1996), part of the Civil War Campaigns and Commanders Series.
