I am trying to learn more about my ancestor William Coleman who fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War.
He enlisted on January 26, 1862 in Springfield, Mo.
He joined for duty on December 15, 1861 in St. Clair County, Mo.
He was appointed the rank of Sargent by Colonel Burnbridge on December 18, 1861.
I would love to learn more about him!
