Civil War Journal had a segment on Indians in the CW. The focused on the stories of Ely Parker who was Gen Grants aide de camp, Stan Waite we all know him and I forgot the name but there was a 19 year old leader of the Lumby (sp?) tribe of NC who gave the CSA hell. This show should be required viewing for students studying the CW. The tragic part was that both the CSA and Union made war on some tribes while recruiting others and after the CW a united America did not show their gratitude to put it mildly.
