Cook & Brother moved their arms factory to Athens, Georgia. The building they used is still there as the event center of a downtown hotel near the University of Georgia campus.

I believe Thomas Griswold took his pistol factory to Georgia and the town of Griswoldville, site of one of the few battles on Sherman's MArch to the Sea.
