Very interesting, Mr. Martin. i didn't realize there were so many fakes of that one.

One other item one needs to put out a paper is type. The first link below is from the Yorkville Enquirer (Yorkville, SC) of 21 Mar 1861 (Page 02). It's talking of the need for a type foundry in the South.

(Bottom of column 3 & top of column 4.)

http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn84026925/1861-03-21/ed-1/seq-2/#date1=1861&index=6&rows=20&words=SOUTHERN+Southern+TYPE+Type&searchType=basic&sequence=0&state=&date2=1865&proxtext=Type+Southern&y=13&x=14&dateFilterType=yearRange&page=1
====================================================
The next link is to the Shreveport Daily News (Shreveport, LA) 28 Sep 1861(Page 3). It is an advertisement for the Richmond Type Foundry, noting it is the"Only Manufactory of Type on Southern Soil South of Baltimore."

http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn88064478/1861-09-28/ed-1/seq-3/#date1=1861&index=0&rows=20&words=SOUTHERN+TYPE&searchType=basic&sequence=0&state=&date2=1865&proxtext=Type+Southern&y=13&x=14&dateFilterType=yearRange&page=1

(Column 5, Marked in red)

However, the ad directly above it is an advertisement for a type foundry and paper warehouse in New Orleans!!
