I am trying to research a specific Company that organized for the war, and I would like to know if the letters that were received by Gov. Moore by all the various Companies raised all over the State asking for acceptance into State service still exist somewhere? Then, if they do exist, I'd like to find Gov. Moore's reply to that Company. The Company that I'm researching organized for the war, but did not go off to war. It is my guess that because they did not have the minimum number required by the State, that Gov. Moore denied them acceptance. When I research this Company further, I see that the members joined up with other Companies that were being formed and went off to war that way. So, do these letters that were sent by all the various Companies to Gov. Moore exist somewhere, and does Gov. Moore's reply to these Companies exist, too? If so, where could I find them?
