Two more 3rd LA Soldiers marked

Was contacted a few months ago asking if I knew anything of Edwin or Josiah Benton's finally resting place. The were in Company K, 3rd LA Inf, and both passed at Vicksburg in 1863.
After A few phone calls and helping her with applications, VA markers were ordered.
Last Sunday, my father and I placed those two headstones in Soldiers Rest cemetery in Vicksburg.
A dedication service is planned for mid November.

It is said that a man died two deaths- one physically, and the other when his name is spoken for the last time. May the Benton brothers live forever.
