I am in possession of a bronze VA headstone that was ordered for Pvt. Ambrose Agaisse, Co. G, 26th LA Infantry, b. 9-28-1840. d. 9-7-1905. It was ordered by Alma D. Weaver, 304 Keegan Dr., Natchitoches. The person I got it from said she passed away before she could get it placed. I would like to get this marker placed on this Confederate Veterans grave but do not know where he is buried. I searched Fins A Grave to no avail. He did file for a pension, but it offered no help. Could not find a widow's pension. I contacted the VA and they told me they do not keep records of headstone applications, (which I know is not true), so they were no help.
Any help would be appreciated.
