Shoups Brigade, subsequently detached for same, assigned May 18, 1864 to HQ Artillery Brigade, Mobile, paroled May 15, 1865, age 27, resident of New Orleans, La.

His file contains correspondence between the War Department and the Louisiana Board of Pension Commissioners, dated March, 1915, John T. Purves, Co. A, 7th Reg’t. La. Inf. and Co I, 1st La. H. Arty. (also borne as John T. Purvis)
