Amon P Morris

Where can I find more information about Amon P Morris? There were several variations of his name, including Ammon Morris, Amon Perry Morris, Amon Piburn/Pyburn Morris, and A P Morris. I have not been able to locate his service jacket. Searches at Fold3 have came up empty.

The only piece of information I have been able to locate about his service was located at the Sam Houston Library in Liberty, TX. It's been added to his memorial at findagrave.

The 'Record of Interments', mentioned Amon was assigned to Company H in Cook's Regiment and his death in 1863 in Galveston, TX. Amon was living in Sabine Co, TX when he enlisted in the CSA. I believe he enlisted about 1861, somewhere in West Louisiana near or adjoining Sabine Parish. His widow was granted a Confederate Script in Texas.

His service jacket might have more information about his service.
