louise marie myrthe bringier taylor

Her aka was "mi- mi" she was the wife of Lt. Gen. Richard S. Taylor. At the time of her death, 3.16.1875, the Taylor family,Richard, Louise, and 3 daughters, lived at the Melpomene Home, slightly North West of the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, La. today. The home was torn down by Duncan Kenner in 1876. The home was within the confines of Carondelet,Baronne,Tersichore, and Melpomene Streets (today).
Realizing that war was hell on the home front too, different sources reveal that Louise and the children lived at different locations through out the civil war.
Of course, Fashion Plantation in St. James Parish at the beginning of the war, Washington,La. in 1863, and another source stated that when Lt. Gen. Taylor
surrendered in Alabama, 5.1865, he soon rejoined his family in Natchitoches, La., moving to New Orleans shortly following.
Louise died at age 41.
I have not been able to confirm the cause of death of "mi mi"...the young age would perhaps indicate an epidemic of sorts, but I am unable to establish positive confirmation.
Appreciate any assistance in this matter.
