Looking for information regarding one of my possible ancestors - W. W. Spencer. He was a private in the 1st Company of the Washington Art. Batt'n enlisting possibly 23 Feb 1863 in Baton Rouge at the age of 21. Taken prisoner at Hatcher's Run, Va. Died of disease or wounds Point Lookout, MD 12 or 13 May 1865. I visited Point Lookout yesterday and noticed his name on the confederate monument. I'm trying to connect him with my other spencer ancestors from Louisiana. Any additional information would be appreciated.
