Map of Atchafalaya to Mississippi R. NovDec 1863

A while ago I posted to this message board about some locations I needed to find for my book about James B. Likens' 35th Texas Cavalry and have just found these locations. Since there may be others with an interest on this message board, I wanted to share the following source. Keep in mind rivers change course and land use changes, but if you are interested in a shapshot of the area between the Atchafalaya to Mississippi Rivers between November and December 1863 (land occupied by Major General Walker's CSA Division) from a reconnaissance made by 2nd LT E.H. Wells US Engineers. NARA Record Group 77 File Z33-143. A copy of this map was obtained from the Cammie G. Henry Research Center at Northwestern State University Archives from their Confiscated Confederate Maps Collection.
